William was born in East Grand Rapids but grew up in Grand Haven near the lakeshore where there was plenty of room on the beach and sand dunes to take Pepper (Cocker Spaniel), Fred (Golden Retriever mix), and Kiska , Sasha and Tara (Siberian Huskies) for long and invigorating walks. After a decade in Southern California and South Florida as a financial consultant and tour guide respectively, where limited open spaces and an abundance of parasites make dog ownership problematical, William decided to return to his native stomping grounds with newly acquired Jasper (Norwegian Elkhound) and enter the horticulture and landscaping industries. Having thoroughly scouted every conceivable Tri-Cities venue for dog adventure William decided, prayerfully, to make his passion for walking, the outdoors and animals his occupation. (He also enjoys driving a school bus part-time for a local school district.) William resides with his wife, Kyle, and her two daughters in the Village of Spring Lake.
